Almaty - Karakol, Cholpon-Ata, Issyk-Kul Lake (north/south)

One of the most popular ways from Almaty to Karakol is via the Kegen (Karkara) border check post. We provide this route wholy year round at daytime hours when the border checkpoint is opened (8am - 6pm) and prices for this way are slightly different. Please request a price quote for a taxi via eastern Kegen/Karkara road. Don't forget to include a Charyn Canon visit in your request, because this is an additional small transfer from the main road to the spectacular viewpoint (12km, +$25). If you want to visit Kaindy or/and Kolsai Lakes, that is also possible to arrange. Also note that not all types of cars are available on that route (map). We also have a limited number of vehicles going in that direction and there should always be a free one for your transfer date.
